PD Opportunity - CTE Tour

The  Santa Ana Unified Transition Support Services CTE Departments are excited to announce the Intermediate School Counselor CTE Tour 2018.

High School counselors tour college campuses so they are better able to articulate information to their students. Why shouldn't Intermediate School Counselors tour their students' future high schools? With open enrollment SAUSD, students have numerous pathways and schools to choose from and can be overwhelmed or uninformed about their choices. 

The Intermediate School Counselor CTE Tour 2018 is designed to help counselors learn and experience high school CTE programs at our high schools and how the CTE programs on their campuses feed into the high school and college level. Tours are half-day workshops including a presentation from PSS during session 2 and lunch prepared by Valley CTE culinary arts students and a student CTE panel. Counselors committed to attending both half-day tours will be sponsored by CTE to attend the OC Counselor Symposium with their conference attendance cost paid for. 

The tour is comprised of three sessions:

Session 1: 

OC Counselor Symposium

The CTE department will sponsor participants to attend the 2018 OC Counselor Symposium  November 1stFull Day 

Session 2: 

CTE Program Tours and 

Enrollment Information session from PSS

Lunch Catered by Valley Culinary Arts Program

November 6th8:30 - 1:30

Session 3: 

CTE Program Tours Continue

November 7th

8:30 - 10:00
