District Focus

LCAP

Local Control Accountability Plan

The LCAP is a critical part of the new Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF).

Each school district must engage parents, educators, employees and the community to establish these plans. The plans will describe the school district’s overall vision for students, annual goals and specific actions the district

will take to achieve the vision and goals. The LCAPs must focus on eight areas identified as state priorities. The plans will also demonstrate how the district’s budget will help achieve the goals, and assess each year how well the strategies in the plan were able to improve outcomes.

KPIs

Key Performance Indicators

Our KPIs tell us what is important in terms of improvement.  You can’t improve everything all at once, you have to focus, and the KPIs reflect the areas of focus over the course of the school year.

The KPIs are designed to be a mix of district and site-level areas of focus.  Each year, district leadership will outline the focus KPI categories for the district.  In addition, each site will have the opportunity to identify areas of improvement that are potentially unique to the school site.  School leadership and school community to decide what to work on and what metrics of success look like.
